KOSTAMO SET TO LEAD INTERNATIONAL LINE-UP FOR 2025 BRIGGS EQUIPMENT NORTH WEST 200

North West 200 News

Leading International Road Racing championship competitors Erno Kostamo, Laurent Hoffman and Luca Gottardi are set to return to the Briggs Equipment North West 200 in 2025.

All three riders have previously raced on the north coast and are looking forward to returning to the 8.9 mile Triangle next May after discussions with race director, Mervyn Whyte, at the Macau Grand Prix where the trio are competing this week.

Finnish racer Erno Kostamo led Michael Dunlop home on his Penz13.com BMW at this year’s Imatra IRRC meeting despite the Ballymoney man setting a new outright lap record.  A top six finisher at the 2024 NW200, the 34 year old was also a Macau Grand Prix winner in 2022.

Another member of Rico Penskofer’s squad, Italian Luca Gottardi, made his debut at Portrush in 2024 and double IRRC Supersport champion, Belgium’s Laurent Hoffman, was the fastest newcomer at the 2019 Ulster Grand Prix.
